All writers, at some point, rely on a café to write in. The comfort of people around you, the sounds, the attention to your basic needs: warmth, food, company, and drink. Or maybe it's to do with romance, a steady supply of subject matter, or just being left alone. There are no excuses not to write when in a café.
These creative writing prompts are devised for cafés, bars, and pubs, but will work just as well at home. Write about couples in cafés, waiters, coincidences, and the inspiration to be found in pastries, as well as other story suggestions and writing adventures. So brew yourself a pot of tea or coffee, serve up a slice of cake, and sit down to write with the Café Writing Map.
The Writing Map is devised and written by Shaun Levin with illustrations by Stefania Manzi. The A3 map (297x420mm) folds into A6 (105x148mm, postcard size), and is printed in England.
NOTE: Some content may not be appropriate for writers under 16.
